Frequently
Asked
Questions
Are you doing a registry?
No. The most important thing to us is that you are able to celebrate with us on our wedding day. However, if you wish to give a gift, we will gratefully accept a contribution towards our honeymoon (Camel trekking in Mongolia!). Our bank account number is 02-0272-0351111-010.
Are there plans for the day after?
Yes, we are hosting an informal BBQ at our house in Devonport from 1pm onwards. Feel free to drop in for some food and partake in post-wedding goss.
Can I drive to the venue?
Unfortunately, there is no parking at the venue (including Rodney Road) so please don’t drive directly!
However, you can park your car in Leigh town centre and organise your own transport to the Venue. It’s a 10-minute drive from Leigh to the venue. We highly recommend taking our organised bus.
How do I get there and back?
We have arranged two buses to depart Auckland CBD @ 12 pm at 120 Quay Street - right near a bar (perfect for a pre-wedding refreshment!).
The buses will depart at 12:00 sharp, so please arrive with plenty of time to spare.
If you are running late or encounter any issues please contact Caroline and Jessie on 027 3444 989.
At the end of the night, buses will leave the venue at 11:30 PM, returning you to 120 Quay Street.
What if I want to arrange my own transport?
No worries! If you’d prefer to take a taxi or other transport, the venue address is 400 Rodney Road, Leigh. Please ensure you’re there by 2:00 PM for the ceremony.
There are local taxi companies, however this is at your own cost.
Can I bring my kids?
Our wedding will be an adults-only event so everyone can relax and enjoy the evening.
While we love your little ones, we appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate and boogie with us!
Are plus-ones allowed?
Unfortunately, due to venue restrictions, we are unable to accommodate plus ones. We appreciate your understanding.
What should I wear?
We’d love to see you in your semi-formal/ formal attire. Bridesmaid dresses are blue.
What will the weather be like this time of year?
The average temperature in Leigh in January is a pleasant 22 degrees Celsius, and hopefully fine and sunny.
What’s the food and drinks situation?
Alcoholic (a selection of beer and wine) and non-alcoholic drinks will be available at the open bar until it runs out.
Light finger food will be provided after the ceremony. A shared dinner consisting of a succulent Asian-fusion meal will be provided later on in the evening.
Late-night snacks will also be provided to fuel you up for them dance moves!
Dietary restrictions will be accommodated, please ensure this is noted on your RSVP.
Is there accommodation?
If you would like to stay closer to the venue, we suggest the following accommodation however you will have to organise your own transport.
